In loving memory of Jim Clark
23rd December 1948 – 11th June 2026
With sadness, we have been asked to announce the death of Jim Clark. Jim died peacefully at home, surrounded with his family on Thursday 11th June, aged 77 years.
His family would like to thank the district nurses and St John’s hospice for their support at home through this difficult time.
Jim was a dearly loved husband to Kay. A devoted Dad to David, Steven and Hannah, and a respected father-in-law to Matt and Jacqui.
Much-loved brother to Jennifer, Michael, David, Radge, Jean, Bob and the late Dorothy. Loving Grandad to Josh, Connie, Abbie and James.
Jim will be fondly remembered by the farming and bowling communities for his determination, strong work ethic and wonderful sense of humour. He took immense pride in caring for the bowling green and tending to his garden, dedicating countless hours to pursuits he loved. His kindness, commitment and friendly nature touched the lives of many and he will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Jim’s funeral will take place at The Parish Church of St. Hilda’s Bilsborrow on Monday 29th June at 11.00am, before he is laid to rest in the Churchyard.
Following the service, the family extend an invitation to join them at The Cross Keys Whitechapel for refreshments and to continue celebrating Jim’s life, sharing stories and memories of a wonderful man.
Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired can be given in memory of Jim to help support the vital work of St. John’s Hospice Lancaster care of the funeral director.
