Igne was formed in 2023 by combining Allied Exploration & Geotechnics, DTS Raeburn, Raeburn Drilling and Geotechnical, Raeburn Drilling & Geotechnical Northern, SafeLane UK U

XO, Terra Tek, and WB&AD Morgan. By joining together as one team, united by a shared culture and standard of working, we offer strength in depth and breadth of services and capabilites. We offer stand-alone or fully integrated services and can support an entire project’s lifecycle. Igne’s team includes experienced engineers and skilled scientists who utilise specialist plant and equipment. Igne’s size and reach means we have the capacity to deliver solutions nationwide. As Igne continues to grow across the UK, we're expanding our estimating team and looking for talented people who can help us turn opportunity into delivery.

Critically, we are looking for geotechnical engineers and senior geotechnical engineers with either 3 or 7 years' experience who want to transition to fulfil estimator roles.

You will play a critical role in the business - working closely with operational teams, clients and technical specialists to shape projects from the earliest stages. From ground investigation and specialist drilling to UXO risk mitigation and geo-environmental services, Igne's work is varied, complex and interesting.

We're recruiting across several areas of the business - so if you enjoy problem solving, collaboration and working on projects that help deliver infrastructure, energy transition and development across the UK, and you have experience as a geotechnical engineer, we would love to hear from you.

The AGS - Association of Geotechnical & Geoenvironmental Specialists' Annual Conference 2026 is just around the corner - and, as ever, Igne will be there.

This event has become a bit of a fixture in the calendar for the ground engineering community. A full day where geotechnical and geo-environmental professionals gather in London to share knowledge, debate the challenges facing our sector, and generally catch up with the people who keep the ground beneath our infrastructure understood and managed.

We attend every year because it’s one of the best industry events around.

Lots of fascinating people in one room, plenty of thoughtful discussion about the future of geoscience, and a chance to reconnect with colleagues and clients from across the sector.
