We built the latest house with the long term aim of being able to move into the house eventually and wanted to look at an interim solution to bring in an income that would prevent us from having to sell the property that so much love went into creating.

This build has been from scratch and those that saw our previous posts would have seen that the exterior front facing wall was built using reclaimed stone that was previously left on the site. The build was project managed by, styled and furnished by Claire from Mapledean Homes.

Our latest project, this beautiful 3 bed new build is nearing completion and has been a labour of love for us. It has been designed to be in keeping with surrounding buildings with sustainability at the heart of the design. The exterior wall has been built using stone that was already on the land from the deconstruction of an old out building, which has been hand cropped and cleaned up before being re-used to build the wall.

The house features a bespoke fitted kitchen by the talented Mark Wareing and granite work top by Go for Granite. Heating is from an air source heat pump. To protect local bird life the exterior walls are fitted with bat boxes and swift holes. What the pictures don’t show is the amazing views that can be seen from this property, each bedroom has a different aspect of the surrounding hills and fields. Building materials and bathrooms all sourced from local builders merchant Hale & Co. (Drybrook) Ltd less than a few miles away from site.

The development we have been working on is near enough complete and we couldn’t be happier with how they have turned out. See below some updated pictures of the properties located at the base of Highview Road leading up to Ruardean Hill, GL17 9DF. There are 4, 3 bed semi-detached new build houses with fully functioning living, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom spaces, complete with solar panels for maximum energy efficiency!

These have been built by us and would make for a great family home for a family looking to move to the area, move into a new build or upsize, currently on market at OIRO £275k.

All are ready to move into almost straight away.

Highview Developments Update🏡

Almost complete! All of the 4, 3 bed semi-detached houses now have fully functioning living, bedroom and bathroom spaces and have become unique and inviting family homes, complete with solar panels for maximum energy efficiency!

The Highview development is located in the heart of the Forest of Dean, with enviable proximity to woodland whilst maintaining great road transport connections to Gloucester within 30 minutes and the Herefordshire and Welsh borders within 20 minutes.

Highview Developments Update🏡

As promised in our previous post, there has been lots of progress since April. May was kinder to us and allowed us to get on with the external walls and get the crane on-site to install the roof trusses. It’s great to finally see this project taking shape and we hope in the coming months we will be able to post something that more resembles liveable home!
