Not often I get the time, but managed to get out in the workshop for a few hours to make myself a stainless steel rear axle nut, for my Triumph Bonneville.
The nut is 27mm A/F with M18 x 1.5mm thread
Not come out too bad for the first attempt.

I have finished a small number of the oil pump olives.
Tried to contact all the people that mentioned they wanted one, apologies if missed any, I'm sure there will be a few.

This is what I have left at the moment, just need me to remove the burrs.
Please message me if you need any, they are £12 each, plus £3.80 for UK postage.
Anybody needing 3 or more, I can sell for £10.75 each plus postage.

Even though I have not been making any bike parts for just over 3 years now, I still regularly get asked if I have any oil pump olives for the GT750 left.
Had a little bit of spare time over the weekend, so put the lathe back together as had it a part to clean and change a few bits.
As it was switched on, I setup and machined a few olives, will machine some more over this coming weekend, then just need to machine the slot.
Should have quite a few oil pump olives within a couple of weeks if anybody needs any.
Was nice to get out in the workshop for a while, but no plans to make any other parts at the moment

Cleaning the Triumph Bonnie today, noticed the top of the rear mudguard was a bit grubby under the ECU, undid the two bolts holding the ECU to get better access, only to find the 2 top hat spacers for the ECU, were a little rusty, the bike is just over 2 years old

So good excuse to turn on the lathe and make some stainless replacements.

Part number T3010702, 4 are required on the bike, only £15 for an original set, but they would go rusty again.
An hour later have made a few stainless sets.

A few new parts for myself and a mate, all made from stainless.
The Triumph coasters I have done before, but slightly modified this design by adding more support tags for the centre triangle, but made the tags thinner.

First attempt at the Darth Vader coasters, I'm not really sure why !!!

The Triumph bottle opener is similar to the ones I did several years ago with the Suzuki "S", which I will be testing tomorrow evening

The plan for the woodpecker was, just something to put up in the garden.

Had to make myself a couple of parts to make it easier to polish the front wheel on the Triumph Bonnie, a few mins on the CNC lathe and made some of these, was nice to have a play as the lathe has not been switched on for 10 weeks or more.

They snugly fit in to the front wheel spindle and allow the axle stands to lift the wheel about 15mm off the floor

Made from stainless steel
