Time to take a look at my warranty’s. All warranty’s currently stand at 3 years for full services (sympathetic, non cosmetic restorations) and 5 years on cosmetic full restorations for all labour and parts fitted within the process, I’ve now decided to add 2 years to each making it 5 and 7 years respectively and this will start from Monday 13 July 2026 on all new orders. Commercial warranty’s will remain at 1 year. Basic services will be increased from no warranty to 1 year. This means that if you break anything on the machine that I haven’t fitted, you pay for the part in question and the shipping to and from only. Any logistics for the first 6 months unless you can drop it in will be covered by me. This excludes any quick fix

There is so much controversy about whether you should buy new or repair existing, particularly if it is vintage. Obviously it’s down to personal choice but new doesn’t always cut it and mean you’re getting a good deal due to reliability. I have many conversations regarding this topic and one of the biggest things to consider is how reliable the vintage models of Kenwood chefs are and how much cheaper by comparison a repair is over a new one. It makes even more sense if you have a few attachments, especially as most attachments are no longer available. Before you look round, you’ll be baking for Christmas, sorry, probably a bit early to be mentioning Christmas but we are already halfway through the year and the last thing you want is for your beloved to shut down on you just while your in the middle of baking, especially if you will be catering for a large family or group of guests. As from August, I usually get hammered with repairs and service requests so even if you are using your chef regularly, it might be worth getting in the queue as I can normally call this in when needed and turn it around with a week for a service or 3 weeks on a restoration. The work will come with a 3 - 5 year warranty respectively and will prove to be a far more financially viable investment than buying a new one. I always try to discourage respray on anything hugely sentimental as I believe it will take away the sentimental value and history but always happy to do whatever the customer wishes. I come with excellent reviews and will always carry out the work to an exceptional standard. I will always back my work with a good warranty and honour it if needed. Any issues with any vintage Kenwoods up to 2015, I’ll be happy to guide you through a final decision without trying to force a sale or make you spend money in addition to the costs laid out and I will always answer my phone which means you always speak to a human and get a personal level or courtesy and service

One Kenwood Major Titanium KMM023 that had serious motor and gearbox issues which are now all sorted. The vertical drive bush had broken away from the base housing causing a terrible grease leak and spread so a huge clean and reassembly and all running smooth and soundly
