I had a similar perhaps not so frightening as throat cancer ..broken neck from car crash...had surgery 'clowards procedure' they cut my neck still got scar 26 yrs later ..thanks NHS I'M still here voicebox moved to graft bone from my thigh...gave my voice a change ..can't complain!!
