Coolest barber on Hayling.

Really happy with the performance of this A/C unit.

The customer is a lady who lives in a flat in Langstone. Due to restrictions she couldn't have an air conditioning external unit fitted.

So we fitted this Panasonic 2.5Kw all in one air conditioning unit to cool her living space.

The unit cooled the room in a matter of minutes and with the recent weather she is very happy with her much cooler home. ❄️

Busy couple of days with another Air conditioning installation. This time for a repeat customer in Fareham. We installed a Haier 3.5k ❄️ split system in their bedroom so that they can sleep better during the coming summer months.

All installations are pressure tested with oxygen free nitrogen ✅
vacuumed down with a specialist a/c vacuum to remove any moisture from inside the system ✅
and handed over to the client with a full and detailed handover. ✅

We are local, DBS checked, fully insured and verified by Refcom & gas safe for total peace of mind.

And today we have installed a new toilet suit for another replete customer in Mengham. Totally maximising the space available.

Not all boiler services are the same.

We recently were asked to service a new customers 6 year old boiler.

The boiler was in a wardrobe in a child's bedroom....

First thing we noticed was that the boiler case screws were missing. On a modern boiler, the case is an integral part of a gas tight seal that in the event of a burner or flue seal failing, keeps the products of combustion away from humans or a child asleep in their bed. And without the screws, the case could easily of been knocked and the seal therefore partially open.

We also noticed that the gas shut off valve to the boiler was fitted in such a way that it could not be closed as it was hitting the filling loop. So in the event of an emergency, the gas could not be immediately shut off. Again this is in a child's bedroom.

The boiler had been serviced 6 times and none of these issues were picked up.

The customer was briefed and options were discussed, the case was secured with the correct screws & an appointment made to correctly fit the gas valve. Due to the potential for risk a "At risk" noticed was served and the customer was shown how to isolate the gas via the main emergency isolation valve.

If a boiler engineer spends less than 40mins servicing your boiler then they aren't doing it correctly.

The first picture shows the importance of getting your boiler serviced annually. The white staining is where the flue manifold has cracked due to age, and is letting the products of combustion (POC's) and condense escape from the flue. Thankfully the boiler case seals were still intact and this prevents the harmful POC's from entering the room. The manifold was replaced as shown in the 2nd picture and the integrity was verified using our modern analyser.

This shows the importance of regular maintenance and also the importance of having a CO alarm
