Fortis are hiring 🚨!

Due to continued growth and recent contract awards, Fortis is looking for an experienced Civil Groundworks Gang to work in and around London and the south east on numerous projects.

We are looking for a skilled Working Groundworks Foreman who can supply a gang – OR a group of individuals to create a gang. The gang must have a background in groundworks, drainage, and all general aspects of site management.

Project & duties will include:

Excavation, drainage, foundations, ring and beam, duct laying, reinstatement, tarmacking, concreting, block paving, kerbs and other general groundwork.

While working for Fortis, we offer:

✔ Completion of RC structures and key groundwork elements
✔ Troughing routes installed and tested
✔ Fencing and drainage systems in place

This phase of the project has showcased the teamwork and technical expertise of our team. It’s been incredible to see the transformation on-site!

A new project is underway 🚧!

The Fortis team has begun work on a new substation build in Littleton. This large-scale project includes:

✔ RC works & formwork
✔ Foundations
✔ Cut & fill
✔ Fencing
✔ Troughing and ducting routes
✔ Drainage
✔ Cable pulling
..and other associated groundworks.

The first few weeks focus on the on-site setup and enabling works, and we're proud to share that the client is already thrilled with the quality and service we've delivered 💪!

We have recently started a new project at Grove Road in Tring!

This project has seen the team carry out a contig piled retaining wall consisting of 126 No 450 dia piles to depths of 13m.

This initial phase was completed within 2 weeks as planned. The team will now lead onto the installation of a large-scale RC basement structure for a new development.

Works are still ongoing at this site, so keep an eye on our page for future updates 👀.

Works are progressing on-site as planned at Enfield Bus Depot.

Despite the everyday hustle and bustle at the depot, the team have managed the site extremely efficiently allowing the depot to remain fully operational during the works.

So far, our client has been delighted with the quality of the work and grateful for the professional conduct of our team’s ability to work around the busy bus depot.

A new project is underway in Enfield!

The team are currently undertaking a project at Enfield Bus Depot to install new state-of-the-art EV charging stations for the depot’s buses.

Works are complicated when working in and around buried services, but our trained teams are working around these effectively and efficiently using industry-standard procedures to minimise the risk as far as reasonably practicable.

These works began at the end of October – so keep an eye on our page to see how this project progresses 👀.

The Fortis team have recently assisted in the successful completion of upgrade works at Barking Bus Depot 🚌.

With the help of efficient project management, the team ensured all permits and safety measures were in place as they installed a set of upgraded EV chargers.

We ensured that there was minimal disruption to the depot and are pleased to announce that all works were completed on time.
