Did you know that there are grants of up to £60,000 available for renewable energy for your business through the Marches Energy Grant and the Marches Growth Hub?

The Marches Energy Grant (MEG) offers free advice, energy assessments and grants for energy efficiency and renewable energy measures to SMEs from all sectors in Herefordshire, Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin (the funding is also available to support community building).

If eligible, once you have had a free assessment through the MEG, and you provide a report of the findings, you have the opportunity to apply for up to £60,000 worth of grant funding for renewable energy!

How does an Air Source Heat Pump work?

Something we get asked quite often is how an air source heat pump will actually heat a home...

In basic terms, an air source heat pump transfers heat from the outside air to water. This, in turn, heats rooms in your home via radiators or underfloor heating. It can also heat water stored in a hot water cylinder for your hot taps, showers, and baths.

Heat from the air is absorbed into a fluid. This fluid is then passed through a heat exchanger into the heat pump, which raises the temperature and then transfers that heat to water.
