🌟Exciting News!

For the past three years, this factory has been the home of Rise Automation, where we’ve grown, developed and delivered projects we’re proud of.

Now it’s time for the next chapter.

As our company continues to grow, so does the need for more space, improved systems and larger production. Over the coming weeks, we’ll be moving into a larger factory to help us expand our services and continue delivering the high standards our customers have come to expect.

We’ll be sharing updates throughout the move, including progress, new equipment, systems and everything that goes into building the next stage of Rise Automation.

We haven’t posted on here for a little while but for good reason. 👀

Behind the scenes, the team at Rise Automation Ltd has been busy delivering projects and supporting customers across a range of industries.

Over the past few weeks we’ve completed a variety of installations and upgrades, including:

Not every machine needs replacing, often the mechanics are still sound and it’s the controls that need updating.

Where equipment is important to production, the cost of unplanned downtime can far outweigh the investment in reducing that risk. As part of this upgrade, we replaced the legacy Schneider servo controller, motor and PLC with a Siemens G2 PLC, Simatic Unified HMI and integrated MAC servo.

Alongside the controls upgrade, we also introduced additional functionality beyond the original machine’s capability.

A relatively simple upgrade but one that delivers clear improvements in maintainability, performance and long-term support.

Today we’ve been fabricating a set of new guards for a customer’s existing production line. As machinery gets older, regulations and safety standards evolve, so it’s important to review equipment and make improvements where needed.

Upgrading guarding is a simple but important way to improve operator safety and keep equipment compliant with modern standards.

Sometimes upgrades don’t quite go to plan…

While preparing for a recent system upgrade we realised the machine didn’t appear to have a neutral supply which was now required.

A quick trip back to site to check the panel in person solved the mystery, luckily the neutral had been installed and left in a terminal ready to use.

A reminder that sometimes the best documentation is still the machine in front of you.

Not everything goes to Plan A.
Plan B would have been to install a transformer, there’s always a solution. ⚡

Unboxing our next project

A new checkweigher and metal detector has arrived and will soon be integrated into a larger automated production line.

Once commissioned, it will automatically verify the weight of every product moving through the system and detect any metal contamination, rejecting anything outside the specified tolerances.

It’s one of those systems that works quietly in the background, but plays a critical role in protecting product quality and compliance across the entire line.

Next step: installation and integration into the full production system.
