Bigger. Better. Brighter.

On the 15th of November the first turf was cut for the Kings Carpets extension on Pottington Business park, Barnstaple.

Our photo shows Claire from Pilton cutting the turf with Martin Harvey of Kings Carpets and Luke Vickery of Vickery Building Contractors Ltd looking on.

Claire has been a loyal customer of company's since Martin's father, Laurie, moved the premises in 1969 from Queen Street in Barnstaple over 55 years ago!

Many happy childhood days were recalled by Claire as she remembered Pottington being a farm where she would help gather up the bales of hay for the farmer when she was just 10 years old.

The new 1300 sq ft extension to the flooring department has been a dream of Martin's for over 30 years and has taken 3 years to obtain the various planning permissions. It will offer a wider range of products, better lighting and a customer café area with complimentary drinks.

We will still be open as normal with our current showroom, whilst we look forward to welcoming you into our bigger, better and brighter showroom next year!
