🏡 HIGH-END BESPOKE OUTBUILDING | PROGRESS UPDATE 🏡

Another stage complete on this high-end bespoke outbuilding, with attention to detail and performance at every stage of the build.

🔹 160mm total PIR insulation — 120mm PIR fitted between the 400mm centre studs, followed by a further 40mm continuous layer over the face of the studs. This creates an impressive 160mm overall insulation depth, providing excellent thermal performance.

🔹 2x1 timber battens installed over the insulation and securely fixed back into the studs. This creates a service/airflow void between the insulation and plasterboard, helping to achieve a high-quality internal finish.

🔹 GRP (fibreglass) roofing system installed, providing a durable, weather-resistant and low-maintenance roof.

🔹 Plastered & painted throughout, now ready for the second-fix electrics and air conditioning.

🔹 Fascia & soffits completed.

🔹 Vertical composite cladding finished, creating a contemporary, premium exterior ready for the doors and windows to be fitted.

Every element has been carefully considered to ensure this outbuilding not only looks exceptional, but performs to the highest standard too.

Day 6 Progress Update 🛠️

Another big milestone reached on this high-end bespoke outbuilding project.

Today we’ve completed all of the flat roof timber work using 8x2 treated timbers, with everything cut in and fitted to specification. We’ve also installed the roof firrings, creating a fall of 3 inches to nothing over a 4m span to ensure efficient rainwater runoff.

Everything is now prepped and ready for the roofer tomorrow, who will be fully boarding the roof with 18mm OSB sheets before installing a premium fibreglass roofing system to create a durable, seamless, weatherproof finish.

It’s all coming together nicely—looking forward to showing the next stage! 👌

Day 5 Progress Update! 🔨🏡

Another productive day on this high-end, fully insulated bespoke outbuilding build! 💪

Today’s progress included:
✅ Installing 4 bays of 5ft closeboard fencing, complete with double 1ft concrete gravel boards and 9ft concrete slotted posts, providing a strong, durable boundary behind where the outbuilding will stand.

✅ Constructing and erecting all four sides of the outbuilding’s timber frame, built using robust 6x2 and 8x2 timber for maximum strength.

✅ Framing out 2 window openings and the central door opening, bringing the structure to life and making the finished layout easy to visualise.

It’s great to see this bespoke project taking shape. On to the next stage! 👌
