Well times been flying by lately - we’ve been:
• Insulating workshops
• Refurbishing bathrooms
• Cleaning monster sized patios
• Pond spring maintenance visits - getting those lovely ponds ready for the nicer weather

Plus working on our new / old home a bit more:
• Taking out floors
• Installing new internal door linings and doors
• Taking down external walls
• Clearing out the driveway - bringing the levels down to the correct height allowing the house to breath and the air bricks uncovered

Had a ridiculous crazy busy week back in Kent looking after long term customers ponds carrying out spring maintenance visits along with a pond closure, made myself ill trying to get everything done!

One things for sure I love working on ponds! It’s a massive passion of mine and being fortunate enough to look after some truly amazing ponds is an honour

I have such an amazing family my son Ethan comes to work with me sometimes when he’s off school he has his dad kind heart towards living creatures

I’ve banged on about this for years but here we go again, there’s no such thing as a maintenance free filter, some just help reduce the amount of maintenance you need to carry out to keep ponds healthy

Lots of typical scenarios here, the dreaded blanket week etc

Discovered a near disaster with two Oase 60 watt UV’s they had melted the plastic securing nut internal ring nearly completely, thankfully I spotted this whist carrying out the maintenance and got new ones sent out and i installed them the following day!

New home new projects! Note to self….. old house lots of surprises! I’d love to know what goes through some people’s minds when they do things! That studded out wall for example what were they thinking?? Pipes cables galore! All over the place! Some studs had that many holes in them they had no structural integrity left, they literally fell apart! Cold water supply line wrapped around heating pipes.

Discovered a thankfully vacated massive wasp nest in a roof space and remains of mice 🐭 needless to say the whole lots coming out and being replaced

Heating system revamp in progress, extending the existing flow and return to cover all the house and adding a second zone for the Gym / office

I now need to replace all the Heath Robinson boards that have been laid like some sort of patchwork quilt, which I can only assume someone was too tight to buy proper floor boards to replace the removed original floor boards

And reninforce the floor joists that look like they have been attacked by an unsupervised 3 year old with a hammer and chisel

Oh the joys…… 🤣
