What is going on with the Gas and Electric prices???
It’s a bit of a mixed bag—short-term relief, but warning lights flashing for later this year.
🔻 Where prices are right now (April–June 2026)
The energy price cap (set by Ofgem) is £1,641/year for a typical household
That’s down about 7% (~£117 a year) compared to the start of 2026
Ofgem +1
Roughly speaking, that’s about £10 a month cheaper for the average home
Ofgem

👉 Why it dropped:
Government shifted some green levies off bills and into taxation
Wholesale energy costs dipped slightly
Bit of political intervention ahead of ongoing cost-of-living pressure
So yes—bills have come down a touch. But don’t get too comfortable.

⚠️ What’s coming next (and this is the important bit)
Everything points to prices rising again from July 2026:
Forecasts suggest the cap could jump to around £1,850–£1,925/year
MoneySavingExpert.com +1
That’s a 15–18% increase in one go

👉 Main reasons:
Global energy markets are twitchy again (Middle East tensions pushing oil and gas prices up)
MoneyWeek +1
UK electricity prices still heavily linked to gas (old system, hasn’t fully modernised yet)
Reuters
Network and infrastructure costs are rising

🧠 Straight-talking takeaways
Right now: slightly cheaper than earlier this year
Short-term outlook: almost certainly going back up
Long-term reality: still well above pre-2021 “normal” levels (by hundreds of pounds a year)

fix now and you’re protected… but risk overpaying if things unexpectedly drop
If you want, I can break down whether fixing your energy right now actually makes sense for your situation (it’s not one-size-fits-all, despite what suppliers will tell you).

Hey All, Dropping you all a quick message.

As you probably know, alongside work I help people review their household bills. I’m currently helping friends and family check whether they’re overpaying on things like gas, electric, mobiles and boiler cover.

There’s no pressure or obligation at all — I just run through what you’re currently paying and see if there’s a way to save you some money or simplify things onto one bill. If it works, great. If not, at least you know you’re already on a good deal.

If you’d be happy for me to take a quick look for you, just send me a copy of a recent bill or let me know and we can run through it together. It only takes a few minutes.

Always happy to help people I know keep a bit more money in their pocket 🙂

⚡ Energy Price Changes Coming in April 2026

What It Means for UK Households
From 1st April 2026, the UK energy price cap is changing again – and this time it’s slightly going down.

The new cap set by Ofgem means the average household using gas and electricity will pay around £1,641 per year, which is about £117 (roughly 7%) less than the previous cap.

💡 What this means in real life:
• Average households could save around £10 per month on their energy bills.
• Electricity unit rates are dropping to about 24.7p per kWh.
• Gas unit rates are dropping to roughly 5.7p per kWh.
• Standing charges will change slightly depending on region and supplier.

📊 Important to remember:
The “price cap” doesn’t cap your total bill – it caps the maximum rate suppliers can charge per unit of energy. So if you use more energy, you’ll still pay more.

⚠️ The bigger picture
While April brings a small drop, experts are warning prices could rise again later in 2026 if wholesale energy costs increase, so it’s still important to keep an eye on tariffs and your
usage.

💬 If you want help reviewing your utilities or checking whether you’re paying more than you should, feel free to reach out – sometimes a quick check can save a surprising amount each month.

💡 Feeling the squeeze from your household bills lately? You’re not alone.

I’ve been helping families take a proper look at their monthly outgoings, and the truth is most people are paying more than they need to for things like gas, electric, broadband, and mobile.

Recently I helped a customer save over £100 a month just by switching their services across and making sure they were on the right setup. No gimmicks, just a proper bill check and a bit of common sense.

That’s where Utility Warehouse comes in. Having everything in one place can make life a lot simpler — one bill, competitive prices, and real support if you need it.

If you’d like me to have a quick look at your bills and see if there’s any money being left on the table, drop me a message. It only takes a few minutes and could save you a decent chunk every month.

Because let’s be honest… who wouldn’t rather keep that money in their own pocket? 💷

It’s month end.
Bills are out. Direct debits have flown. You open the banking app and think… how did that go so fast?
You’re not alone.
For so many households, it’s not about overspending on luxuries. It’s the everyday stuff — energy, broadband, mobile, insurance — quietly creeping up month after month. And because they’re spread across different providers, it’s hard to see the full picture.
Here’s the honest truth:
If you don’t review your utilities regularly, you’re probably overpaying. Most people are.
That’s where Utility Warehouse comes in.
Instead of juggling five separate companies, five renewal dates and five price increases… everything is bundled in one place, one monthly bill, one customer service team. Simple. Old-school common sense. The way it should be.
✔️ Competitive rates
✔️ Price protection options
✔️ Cashback card that helps offset household costs
✔️ UK-based customer service
✔️ No constant switching stress
And the biggest benefit?
Clarity. You actually know what’s going out each month.
I’ve helped families save £50–£150 per month just by reviewing what they already had in place. No dramatic lifestyle changes. Just smarter setup.
If month end feels tighter than it should, let’s have a quick chat.
It’s a free, no-pressure appointment. We’ll look at what you’re currently paying and see if there’s a better way.
Sometimes it’s not about earning more.
It’s about keeping more of what you already make.
Drop me a message and we’ll get it booked in.

Just helped a customer trim £100 a month off their utility bills 💡💷
That’s £1,200 a year back in their pocket — without changing their lifestyle, switching suppliers themselves, or sitting on hold for hours.
Most people are paying more than they need to simply because they haven’t reviewed their services in years.
✔️ Energy
✔️ Broadband
✔️ Mobile
✔️ Insurance
All streamlined. All simplified. All saving money.
If your bills have crept up and you’ve been meaning to “sort it later”… consider this your nudge.
Message me for a quick, no-pressure check — you might be surprised what’s possible.

Ever feel like your household bills are playing a game of “guess the damage” every month?

That’s exactly why more people are switching to Utility Warehouse.

Utility Warehouse does things differently. Instead of juggling separate providers for your energy, broadband, mobile and insurance – and spending half your life on hold – you can bundle it all in one place. One bill. One contact. One company that actually answers the phone.

Simple.

In a world where the big suppliers feel untouchable, it’s refreshing to deal with a company that rewards loyalty and keeps things straightforward. No teaser rates that shoot up six months later. No maze of departments. Just transparent pricing and real customer service.

And let’s be honest – most of us don’t have time to compare 47 comparison sites every renewal season. If you value convenience, stability and knowing exactly where your money is going, it’s worth a look.

It might not always shout the absolute rock-bottom headline price – but value isn’t just about pennies. It’s about service, simplicity, and not having a billing headache every quarter.

If you’d like to see whether it stacks up for your household, drop me a message and I’ll happily run through it with you. No pressure. Just facts.
