🚿 Electric Shower Upgrade – Kirkcaldy ⚡

A recent shower replacement completed for a customer in Kirkcaldy.

Their existing Mira Play electric shower had developed a fault and would only hold its heat for around 5 minutes before going cold.

Rather than replacing it with another basic unit, we managed to source a more modern Mira shower with a much nicer finish, giving the customer an upgrade in appearance as well as a fully working shower again. 👌

A small upgrade that’s made a big difference to the bathroom!

⚡ Bringing Auchtertool Pub Back to Life! 🍻

Last week we kicked off the first phase of the full rewire at Auchtertool Pub.

The pub has been closed for a number of years, but the local community is now bringing it back — and we’re proud to be involved.

This one means a lot to us. Auchtertool is where Haddon grew up, and where he landed some of his first ever electrical customers. It’s great to be back delivering a major project right in the village.

Phase one includes:

🔌 Temporary power & sockets
🛠️ Prep work for the full renovation

Plenty more to come as the transformation continues and the pub gears up to reopen 🍻

Fife Electricians are looking for another fully qualified electrician to come on board and join our growing team.

We’re looking for someone reliable, experienced and capable of working independently to a high standard.

The work is varied across domestic and commercial, including rewires, consumer unit upgrades, EV chargers, EICRs/remedials, fault finding and general electrical work.

💷 £18–£23 per hour depending on experience
🚐 Company van provided

Another day, another round of EICRs! ⚡

Today Haddon and Robbie were carrying out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) on 1 of 3 commercial units we had booked in over in Perth.

This is part of an ongoing contract where we look after the electrical maintenance and testing for a property management agency with a portfolio of both commercial and domestic properties. Long-term relationships like these are something we really value.

Luckily, all three units were right next door to each other, making for a productive day! 😃

It also looks like Robbie has decided to become the boss a lot quicker than expected… I barely had time to unpack the test kit before he was telling me what to do! 😂

Another Zappi GLO installed – this time in Dunfermline! ⚡🚗

This installation was a bit more challenging than your average EV charger fit. The consumer unit was located on the complete opposite side of the property, meaning we had to install around 40 metres of cable to reach the ideal charging location.

Despite the long cable run, we carefully planned the route to keep decorative damage to an absolute minimum, leaving the customer with a neat, professional finish and a fully functional Zappi GLO ready for years of reliable charging.

No matter how straightforward or complex the installation, we always take the time to find the best solution for both performance and appearance.

⚠️ A recent EICR on a local business in Fife uncovered some serious electrical safety issues.

When we opened the consumer unit, we found clear signs of previous fire and smoke damage. As we continued the inspection, we also discovered live junctions hidden above the ceiling, unsupported cables, and undersized gas and water bonding, all of which can present significant electrical safety risks.

What’s concerning is that this property was reportedly tested just five years ago, yet these defects were still present.

This is exactly why a thorough Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) is so important. It’s not just about ticking a box—it’s about identifying hidden defects and ensuring an installation is safe for everyone using the building.

We’re pleased to say the customer has now booked us in to carry out all the necessary remedial works, bringing the installation up to current standards and making the business a safer place for both staff and customers.
