We’re starting to see an increase in wasp activity across Yorkshire as temperatures rise.

At this time of year, wasps are busy building and expanding nests, often in lofts, wall cavities, sheds and commercial buildings.

If you’ve noticed increased wasp activity around your property, it could be an early sign that a nest is nearby.

🚨 WANTED: NIGHT OWLS, SNOW HEROES & PEOPLE WHO DON’T CRY WHEN IT’S -4°C

❄️ Bawcro Snow & Gritting Services Ltd are EXPANDING!

We’re looking for reliable, hard-working relief drivers and hand-gritting assistants to join our winter response team across West Yorkshire on a freelance basis from October to March (weather dependent).

We currently operate a fleet of 4x4 pickup trucks and quad bikes complete with snow ploughs and Hilltip gritters.

⚠️ Warning:
This is NOT your average 9 to 5 job.

You’ll be:
✔ Working in snow, ice, freezing rain and weather your mates refuse to leave the house in
✔ Hand gritting icy sites at ridiculous o’clock
✔ Driving in difficult winter conditions while the rest of the world is asleep
✔ Developing a serious relationship with coffee and energy drinks

Ideal candidates:
✔ Full clean driving licence (held 10+ years preferred)
✔ Not afraid of hard graft
✔ Flexible with working hours and able to work in cold, wet and unsociable conditions
✔ Experience driving in snow and ice is a big bonus
✔ Self-motivated and dependable

Typical shifts:
Usually between 21:00hrs and 06:00hrs
(As we continue to grow, we are also looking at splitting shifts for more flexibility)

Coverage area:
Across West Yorkshire with our HQ based in Birkenshaw.

Pay:
£16 to £24 per hour
