Water damaged room nearly completed to a new snug.
New Karndean floor installed SM-KP144 character Oak laid herringbone.
New media wall installed with bespoke extra tall cupboards either side with automatic LED light when you open doors.
All panelling painted black to client spec, just waiting on twin anthracite 1800mm x 600mm radiator with anthracite valves and we’re done.

New DPC installed.
Had to build up 35mm in eight corse as gauge was shockingly out, I don’t think whoever built this didn’t own one.

Bit of a nasty one today.
Client has mentioned that he has damp in the corner of lounge at floor level and has asked me to investigate the issue. So I took a brick out and found that when house was build the scruffy brickies have filled cavity at DPC with mortar, thus creating a bridge between the outside leaf and inner leaf.
Pictures of shocking detail also no plastic DPC installed although it’s present in vertical cavity closures.
