So as far as unusual jobs go, this must top my list. I’ll be adding a ton of photos later, showing the various build stages of this project and my involvement with it. But here’s a walk round video to start with. This is a an operating theatre like no other in the world, and it’s been built to showcase a host of new and improved products, ideas and developements. From anti-bacterial walls, shadowless lighting, touch-free everything (almost), mood lighting, visual aids, floor elevating pods, multi filtered air circulation, etc etc. I could go on and on about this project, I’ve worked with trades from Spain, Germany, New Zealand and good old Manchester. What an amazing oppurtunity to see modern materials and technology being brought together. And working with worldwide experts in the field. And all this in small industrial unit in swinton.😁

We’ve popped back to one our previous jobs in the city centre, to do a floor repair after a leak. We relayed the hallway and just into the two bedrooms. These type of repairs are never straight forward due to swelling and the fact that we’re trying to link up 3 different rooms and without any gaps. Slow work but rewarding when finished. 😁

Media wall we built for an old friend near Rochdale, incorporating there existing tv and bracket, and mounting a new electric fire. Built with 3x2, plasterboarded and skimmed. We finished off the lounge with new skirtings and architrave, and decoration by others. A quick way to modernise the look of the room.😁

Another unusual job, we were approached by our local grassroots football club to form some benches and roof covering for there 11aside football team substitutes dug outs. Unfortunately the heavy duty gates are a sign of current times, where vandalism is always an issue. So they look “bomb proof” for exactly that hat reason. There’s still a metal covering required for the roof, to be fitted at a later date.

Haha well not really, it’s our own hall stairs and landing at home after a recent refresh. New Wall panelling, new handrail and carpet runner on the stairs and full carpet on the landing. Also new lights, switches and some very expensive paint.!! But as the saying goes “happy wife, happy life.😁

This is a bathroom refit we helped out on, in chorlton. We removed the original room entrance stud wall and rebuilt slightly further back (enlarging the bathroom floor space) and used 6x2 framing to allow us to build a small niche to the shower wall end of bath. We refitted the old existing door and casing, ensuring it closed And locked this time. Fitted a hardwood doorway threshold to help reduce the step up onto the heated floor tiles, fitted new skirtings and also fitted the new upvc sliding sash window, which was actually moved so it was central in the wall. Plumbing, tiling and decoration done by others. (I love the old fashioned toilet 😁)

Wren kitchen fit to another city centre apartment, unfortunately the lighting isn’t the best on these photos, but it’s navy blue doors, panels etc and gloss black sparkle granite counter tops. All a bit too dark for my taste, but exactly what our customer was. (Ps under cupboard LED lighting is temporarily attached and not fitted by ourselves)

This is a recent job in Leigh, in a lovely young couples first home. We fitted skirting and doors throughout, and chevron flooring to the full ground floor, including conservatory. They’ve transformed what was a drab neglected house into a light, modern comfortable home, perfect for making memories of their own. 😁
