🏠🌍 Heat pumps are making waves in the world of sustainable energy! A recent survey has revealed that more than 80% of households in Great Britain that have replaced their gas boilers with electric heat pumps are satisfied with their new heating system. This response is broadly similar to that of people with gas boilers.

This survey, thought to be the largest investigation into household responses to heat pumps, involved more than 2,500 domestic heat pump owners and more than 1,000 domestic gas boiler owners in England, Scotland, and Wales. It's exciting to see the sustainable future of heating gaining ground!

Despite initial concerns over the effectiveness of heat pumps, particularly in older buildings, the survey showed that satisfaction levels were similar across the board, regardless of whether the heat pump was installed in a new-build home or older properties.

What's more, the running costs of heat pumps seem to be another satisfying factor for households. The survey found that two-thirds of heat pump owners were satisfied even without extensive energy efficiency upgrades.

Transitioning to a greener heating system is proving to be a feasible option, regardless of the age of the house. If you're considering making the switch, remember there are government schemes such as the ECO4 grant available to help cover the cost of replacing uour heating source with a heat pump
