We were delighted to provide the structural design for the high-end refurbishment of a ground floor Victorian flat on Earlsfield Road, one of South West London’s most sought-after residential locations. 🇬🇧

The project included:

🔩 Multiple large steel frames to create open-plan living spaces

📐 Specialist advice on construction sequencing to ensure a safe and efficient build

A Man’s Home Is His Castle… 🏰

And this one certainly lives up to the saying. ✨

We’re proud to have delivered the structural design for this remarkable castle-inspired residence, helping transform an already impressive property while preserving its unique character.

Our scope included the structural design of a contemporary glazed side extension, carefully integrated into the existing building to create a striking contrast between traditional architecture and modern living. 🌟🏡

The challenge was to achieve large areas of glazing and open internal spaces while ensuring the new structure worked seamlessly with the existing fabric of the building. 👏✨

🏗 New Build Residential Project | London, UK 🇬🇧

We’re pleased to share our involvement in a new-build house in London, where our team has provided a multi-disciplinary technical service from early design stages through to planning compliance.

For this project, our scope included:

▪️Architectural input to support the proposed layout and compliance strategy.

▪️Discharge of planning conditions, coordinating technical responses and documentation.

▪️Drainage design, including surface water strategy and coordination with local authority requirements.

New Project in Madrid, Spain 🇪🇸

We’re pleased to share that Westshore has been appointed to deliver the full structural design for a new residential development in Madrid.

The project features a 6-storey building plus a basement, with three apartments per floor and an exclusive rooftop swimming pool of nearly 30 m².

From a structural perspective, our team is developing a hybrid solution that balances performance, buildability, and long-term durability:

➡️ Reinforced concrete for the basement and parking levels, ensuring robustness, fire resistance, and optimal performance against soil pressures.

➡️ Lightweight structural steel for the superstructure, improving construction speed, reducing overall loads, and allowing greater architectural flexibility.

This combined approach optimises material efficiency while meeting the architectural vision and the demanding urban conditions of central Madrid.
