At DCS Roofing, we’re not just about new builds. We understand that refurbishment projects are just as important, and we put the same level of care and attention into preserving existing buildings as we do on new construction sites.

Last week, we returned to one of our valued repeat customers to repair swollen and rotten roof boards caused by several years of leaks from an inadequate flat roof. We replaced the damaged roof with a new felt flat roofing system and installed a replacement clear polycarbonate sheet.

The result? A fully watertight roofing system that will help ensure the continued use of this outbuilding in rural Sutton Valence for many years to come.

With the current UK heatwave continuing, DCS Roofing would like to remind not only our own roofing teams, but all fellow construction and outdoor workers across the industry, of the importance of staying protected while working outside.

According to HSE guidance, prolonged exposure to UV rays can cause sunburn, dehydration, overheating, premature skin ageing and increase the risk of skin cancer.

Key reminders:
🔹 Wear suitable clothing and head protection
🔹 Use SPF30 sunscreen or higher
🔹 Stay hydrated throughout the day
🔹 Take breaks in shaded areas where possible
🔹 Regularly check your skin for any unusual changes
