And that’s a wrap on The Suffolk Show 2026 — and what a show it was!

Our third year exhibiting, and honestly, probably our best one yet.

A huge thank you to everyone who came over to see us on the Lanman Solar stand — customers old and new, friends, family, suppliers, fellow local businesses, and plenty of people just starting to explore solar, battery storage, EV charging and air conditioning.

One of the loveliest parts of the week was also having Joanne Baggott with us on the stand as our newly appointed Office Manager. She’s already been amazing behind the scenes — but more on that soon!

The Suffolk Show is always a brilliant reminder of how strong the local business community is, and how much we enjoy getting out from behind the laptops and speaking to people face to face.

Safe to say, we’ll be back next year — bigger and better again.

A big thank you to Ipswich Hockey Club for having us along as one of the club’s sponsors at last week’s junior end-of-season awards.

It was brilliant to see so many young players celebrating a great season — and a reminder of just how much the club does for both junior and adult hockey in the local community.

Lanman Solar has been proud to support Ipswich Hockey Club and Ipswich Sports Club, part of the same group, since we installed nearly 200 solar panels at the sports club back in 2023. It’s great to stay involved and see the club continue to grow.

There’s also a personal connection for us, as Greg Newman, one of Lanman Solar’s co-founders, has three children who play hockey at Ipswich Hockey Club — so this is a sponsorship that genuinely means a lot to the team.

A special thank you to James Ward for all his help with the sponsorship and junior training too.

When Lanman Solar was first set up, planting trees was built in from day one.

It wasn’t a campaign or a marketing idea — it was something Greg Newman felt strongly about. If we’re helping customers reduce their impact through solar, it made sense to give something back alongside it.

We’ve now passed 1,000 trees planted 🌱

And if we’re honest… 1,000 doesn’t always sound like a lot.

So we asked AI to show us what 1,030 trees actually looks like in one place — and this is what it came up with.

It’s a small forest.

We’re not claiming this changes everything on its own. But it’s consistent, it’s real, and it reflects the kind of business we’re building.

Thanks to all of our customers who’ve been part of that journey so far.

On to the next 1,000.

We were proud to see Elkan Baggott come off the bench on Saturday and play a part in Ipswich Town Football Club's FA Cup win against Blackpool, a club he knows well from his loan spell there last season.

From working his way through loan moves to stepping up when his team called, Elkan’s journey is a great example of what hard work and dedication look like in action. He’s kept pushing, kept improving, and now he’s helping his club make big moments count.

Massive congrats on the win, Elkan — keep going. The grind pays off. ⚽🔥

🎄 Christmas break at Lanman Solar 🎄

That’s a wrap for 2025!

We kicked off our Christmas get-together with a bit of fresh air and a round of golf, followed by a proper local pub lunch – good food, good laughs, and a great way to round off a busy year.

We were sorry to miss a few of the team (including Amelia) who couldn’t make it due to illness – you were definitely missed. The upside? We did get to hang out with Herbie the Dog at the pub, which softened the blow nicely 🐶🙂

A huge thank you to our customers, partners and supporters for another brilliant year. We’re now closed for Christmas and will reopen on Monday 5th January.

We were honoured to be part of something truly special at the Jingle Bells & Barley Ball. It wasn’t just a brilliant night out — it felt like a collective show of strength and support for the farming communities that keep Suffolk going.

YANA ("You are not alone") does incredible work for mental health across the agricultural sector, and seeing £5,000 raised in one evening was a testament to the generosity, spirit, and unity in the room. Nearly 200 people coming together with purpose — that’s what makes events like this matter.

A huge thank you to the Longfields Circle team for bringing everyone together, and to all the other sponsors and attendees who made the night unforgettable. As a local business that works closely with farmers across East Anglia, we’re incredibly proud to stand alongside such an important cause.

Here’s to many more events that celebrate, support, and uplift the people who grow our food and power our rural economy.

Lanman Solar is proud to have played a small part in it.

And Greg Newman and Pietro Lanni were also very pleased to win a 4 ball at Hintlesham Golf Club in the auction too - which i think comes across quite well in the picture... :-)
