Proud to be MCS installers of heat pumps!

Malvern Solar are now MCS certified installers of Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP). We have been MCS accredited installers of solar panels, batteries and vehicle chargers for several years, and having passed our rigorous inspection two months ago our paperwork is finally complete and we can officially guarantee quality when we install your heat pump.

So what does MCS Certified mean?

The acronym MCS stands for Micro-generation Certification Scheme. The scheme imposes an internationally recognised standard for quality and safety in small scale renewable energy technologies, such as solar panels and air source heat pumps.

MCS accreditation means that we have passed an inspection to say that we meet high standards covering all aspects of installation from quotation through to handing over clear documentation post installation.

Whatever your feelings about our current government, and no matter how much you might be looking forward to July 4th, one good thing has been the BUS Scheme. This government scheme allows our customers massive savings of £7500 when they switch from a gas boiler to a carbon neutral air source heat pump system.

Maybe a new government will pour more resources into training renewables professionals, (currently it is hard to find an apprenticeship employer, and harder still to find a college training provider in the same place). Maybe a fresh approach will mean a scheme to help people struggling on low incomes to access the benefits of low carbon technologies and to stay warm.
