Emanuel Whittaker Resident Liaison Officer, Olivia Wood, did a fantastic job of organising a Mother’s Day brunch and bake sale recently, to raise money for Macmillan and a few other charities that Edward Mayes like to raise money for, including Francis House.
This was highly appreciated and enjoyed by our Client and residents at Mayes Gardens.
Samantha at Edward Mayes Trust said; “Olivia did you proud at the recent bake sale she arranged for our residents. She worked very hard and put in a lot of effort. Our residents enjoyed it and we raised nearly £300 for Francis House in donations, which is brilliant. So thank you to Olivia for her hard work in arranging everything.”

We are currently working on Clough Court for RBH and one of the local schools that we have visited before, asked Emanuel Whittaker Site Manager, Katie Lockwood, to go to speak with the children, as it was Careers Day.

Katie spent an hour with the children discussing education, personable skills and her career at Emanuel Whittaker.

The children were given lots of opportunities to ask questions and to try on PPE and we also gifted year 4 some classroom resources.

Year 4 had a very interesting surprise this morning! 😊👷‍♀️🧱🏠

Festive Fun!

Emanuel Whittaker recently received 3 festive hampers from generous suppliers and once again, we thought that the fairest way to decide who gets to keep them, would be to choose names at random from all operatives.
The lucky winners this time were - QS, Joe Coyle, Joiner, Laurie Patrick and Labourer, Martin Higgins.

A big shout-out to Emanuel Whittaker Labourer, Chris Folan, lending a hand to one of our MCC residents.
Noticing that the weeds outside her front door had become a bit of a jungle, Chris jumped into action and cleared the area, making it much safer and more accessible.

As a company, Emanuel Whittaker is proud to be able to continuously assist the communities where works are taking place, our teams are always willing to assist and accommodate residents and their communities.
We have been delighted to work alongside our client, Salix Homes, by assisting the Lower Kersal Young People and Community Group (LKYPCG).
As part of our Good News Stories and Community Initiative, our team have also gone the extra mile to assist with this project.
• Installation of paved patio area
• Assembling 2 sheds
• Donation of gardening tools

On completion of the project, both Salix Homes & Emanuel Whittaker were invited to an informal handover at the allotments, with all the volunteers.

It was very well attended by the local community and they were delighted with the final result.
It was amazing to be part of this special occasion.

Emanuel Whittaker Subcontractor, 'Airsafe' operative, Leo Skidmore, was leaving site for the day when he noticed Tonge Court resident, Pat Turner, coming home with a bundle of shopping bags.
Leo offered his assistance and carried all of her groceries up to her first floor flat.
Pat commented the next day, saying how helpful and polite Leo was and that she very much appreciated his help.

During June Emanuel Whittaker had the pleasure of taking on a work experience student, Lucie Coverley, from St Mary's RC High School.
Lucie spent the week with Emanuel Whittaker Resident Liaison Officer, Sarah Kershaw and the site team working with Great Places on a window and door project.
Throughout the week, Lucie visited resident’s properties to inform them of works being carried out in their home, she attended properties where refurbishment works were taking place, completed paperwork such as door choices and input them onto the computer system.
Lucie took full advantage whilst out on site and really enjoyed meeting residents.
