🔥 Our STEMAZING IMPACT REPORT for 2024 is here!

2024 really has been another STEMAZING year! Thanks to our incredible community of change makers, we have grown our collective impact in so many ways - together driving an inspiration and inclusion revolution!

Our award-winning core programme - the STEMAZING Inspiration Academy - has produced some A-M-A-Z-I-N-G results this year:

💖 219 women in STEM role models were empowered through the programme in 2024.
💖 605 women in total since the Inspiration Academy started!

💛 12,574 children were engaged in STEMAZINGKids experiments and activities in 2024.
💛 45,030 children in total since the start.

🧡 36,782 STEMAZINGKids experiments led by STEMAZINGWomen role models in 2024.
🧡 165,623 in total since the start.

WOW! Those figures really drive home the importance of what STEMAZING do.

🤯 Shoutout to our very own Jesha Soni - the human calculator - for managing all of our STEMAZING data!

We couldn’t be more proud of the impact we are having thanks to our role models, Partners, schools and of course the real people we do this for, the children, who make it all worthwhile and so much fun!

Last month STEMAZING hosted a fantastic Community event with Christina all about careers in tech, data and digital.

Christina wears so many hats!!! Primarily, she is director of community at Herd Consulting but she is also an author of 2 books (more about that in the video!), and has over 20 years experience in the tech field.

We take a detailed look at careers in tech with Christina including busting those misconceptions, looking at how diverse tech careers can be, what different routes there are into careers in tech and so much more!

We also explored the wide range of tech, digital and data roles that are available together with the key skills required for these roles, including creativity, curiosity, collaboration and problem-solving. So much covered and such an important discussion.

This amazing woman needs no introduction. The simple mention of her name - Yewande Akinola MBE FIET HonFREng - is enough to make you want to press play.

Not to mention the fact that she is an award-winning engineer and innovator who has worked on the design and engineering of sustainable systems and large projects spanning water, energy, construction and more.

Yewande reveals how her initial interest in STEM began with architecture, as she was fascinated by the buildings she could see from the back seat of her Mum’s Passat!

She reflects on the relationship she had with her Mum and how that has shaped her perspectives on work and the world – it was her Mum that ultimately suggested a career in Engineering!

Yewande admits that she was ‘oblivious’ when she started her studies that she was entering a male-dominated career.

She reflects on how she felt as she realised she was a minority in the industry and how she responded when people doubted her.

Yewande goes on to share some brilliant advice for other women beginning their career in STEM.
