🚐 Ford Transit – Turbo Underboost Issue SOLVED 🔧
This Ford Transit came to us after visiting three different garages, with thousands already spent on parts including a turbo and EGR valve… and the problem was still there ❌
🔍 Our Diagnosis Process:
We carried out a full smoke test – the system was holding pressure, but not enough to perform correctly. That told us something was still leaking under load.
On closer inspection (once the engine cover was removed), we spotted oil residue around the injector seals 👀
💨 With the system pressurised, the issue became clear:
➡️ Bubbles forming around the injectors – confirming leaking injector seals.
🛠 The Fix:
✔️ Replaced injector seals (top & bottom)
✔️ Installed new stretch bolts
✔️ Torqued everything precisely to manufacturer spec
✔️ Used 100% genuine parts – no shortcuts
✅ Result: Boost pressure restored, van running exactly as it should!
