With the increase in contracts, we are looking to recruit a service engineer to further strengthen our established team of diverse engineers. We are looking for a competent and experienced refrigeration & air conditioning service engineer with proven skills.
You must be based in or around the Newcastle area & have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in this field with at least a Level 2 or 3 NVQ in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.
Working essentially on your own but as an essential part of a team, your duties will include reactive response to a range of breakdowns in a range of large site environments along with smaller commercial sites and PPM's at sites as required.

You must be able to fault find, diagnose and repair within an acceptable time scale to meet their customer’s needs.

Standby is currently every 1 week in 4 with hours worked paid at overtime rate.

Candidate Requirements:

• Have at least 3 years’ experience of diagnosing and rectifying problems associated with AC & Refrigeration, refrigeration circuits and systems.
• Safe Handling of Refrigerants or F-Gas.
• Hold a full UK driving license.
• Be Flexible in working hours.
• Be based in or around the Newcastle area.
Preferred but not essential:

• CSCS skilled worker card.
• PASMA Certified.
• NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds equivalent.

Desirable Qualities:

• Punctual and enthusiastic.
• Uses own initiative.
• A desire to learn the necessary skills.
• Good health and safety awareness.

Package:

• Basic Salary: £13.00 - £15.00 per hour - Negotiable based on skill & experience.
• Overtime: Paid at time and half Monday to Saturday and Double time on Sundays and Bank holidays.
• Holidays: 20 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays.
