Our latest CNC Sliding Head investment. This machine gives us more flexibility with a programmable B axis for more complex components.

Another smooth installation successfully completed at Scot Bennett Engineering in Northampton by Service Engineer Robert Yeend. The new Star SD-26 Type E sliding head lathe replaces an older machine tool as part of the company’s ongoing commitment to continuous improvement.

Following this week’s on-site training course led by Applications Engineer Chaz Bilkhu, the Scot Bennett Engineering team is now fully equipped to enhance productivity and increase capacity with their latest investment.

Our latest investment is a new CNC Sliding head model from Star GB. An SR-20JII Type B, which has replaced an older SR-20J which had given us 14 years exemplary service. A slightly larger bar capacity at 7/8” diameter (22.22mm), adds an extra flexibility.
