New Project Complete! Turning Sunshine into Savings in Saxmundham!🔆

We love the work we do, and so it means everything to us when we get recommended by previous customers.

Following a successful installation nearby in Kelsale, we were delighted when this customer in Saxmundham reached out to us to design a complete, top-to-bottom solar energy solution.

Every roof here was a little different, and this property presented a fantastic design opportunity with multiple roof orientations across the main house plus a separate detached garage roof. So to maximise every drop of East Anglian daylight, we designed a custom multi-array layout.

Here is what the final system looks like:

🚗Zappi Glo EV Charger

Now, this home is fully equipped to generate, store, and use its own clean energy day and night—massively reducing their reliance on the grid. Plus they can now charge their car straight from their own roof!

This week, we visited the beautiful village of Brooke, Norwich, for a complete Solar PV system Installation:

The property required some smart planning to make the most of its various roof orientations. Our team used four different roof areas to fit 24 high-efficiency solar panels.

To give the homeowners ultimate control over their clean energy day and night, we paired the array with a hybrid inverter and solar battery storage system. Now, they can store their excess daytime generation and use it whenever they need it, drastically cutting their reliance on the grid.

And to make sure their installation was protected from nesting wildlife, and ensure peak performance for years to come, we also fitted bird mesh around all the arrays.

Think bird mesh is just an "extra"? Tell that to these 4 pigeons! 🕊️

While on a solar install in Norfolk recently, we spotted the neighbour’s unmeshed panels being closely eyed up by a local flock.

In East Anglia, pigeons, gulls, and starlings love nesting under solar panels because it’s warm and safe from predators. Unfortunately, this often leads to:

❗️Chewed electrical wires
❗️Build up of nesting debris
❗️Acidic droppings damaging roof tiles

Did you know? Once they build a nest, it is legally protected by the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. You cannot move them until the breeding season is over, meaning retrofitting mesh later becomes a much bigger (and pricier) headache.

Not your average day on a solar visit…

While carrying out a customer visit, our director found himself taking on a slightly different kind of job — helping to safely rescue a family of ducklings who had taken an unexpected dip in a customer’s swimming pool! 🦆

With a bit of patience (and some careful manoeuvring), the ducklings were safely guided out and reunited with mum, leaving everyone — customers included — smiling.

Just another example that we’re always happy to go the extra mile… even when it’s not strictly solar-related!
