Load monitoring plays a key role in supporting subsea and offshore applications, yet limitations in logging speed, storage, and positional measurement have historically made it difficult to capture the long-term data needed to assess how assets respond to changing sea conditions.

This can leave equipment more exposed to overload, increase the risk of unplanned downtime, and make it harder to meet strict regulatory compliance requirements.

To address these limitations, we developed the Subsea Data Logger DL-3.0 to capture and store high-quality offshore performance data via subsea load cells.

With up to 800 Hz sampling, peak loads and fast transients can be identified, while 16 Gb onboard storage supports extended monitoring. Combined with USB transfer and CSV export for simple data access, the DL-3.0 provides an ideal load monitoring solution for capturing reliable long-term data and assessing subsea and offshore asset performance in real-world conditions.

Eliminate uncertainty around route deviations and avoid costly re-runs with the Stingray Acoustic Positioning Grapnel.

The Stingray Acoustic Positioning Grapnel enables operators to track grapnel train positioning in real time, providing clear visibility throughout operations.

With immediate insight into any deviation from pre-programmed routes, operators can respond without delay, reducing the likelihood of contact with surrounding infrastructure, including local pipelines, while protecting train arrangements from damage.

Client feedback highlights the Stingray’s impact in application, delivering complete confidence throughout operations. Check out the testimonial below to see how the Stingray provided peace of mind, whilst protecting equipment and nearby infrastructure. ⬇️

DLM Sponsors Southampton Boxer, Ryan Garner

This weekend, British and Commonwealth super-featherweight champion Ryan "The Piranha" Garner will enter the ring in Dublin with the Dynamic Load Monitoring logo displayed on his Southampton-inspired shorts.

The undefeated fighter defends his 18-0 record at the 3 Arena on the undercard of Dickens v Cacace, with a potential world title fight at St. Mary’s Stadium later this year already generating significant attention.

We are pleased to support Ryan ahead of this weekend’s fight in Dublin in what is shaping up to be a landmark year in his career!

Find us at Oceanology International | Stand A409

Our team is at ExCeL London today for Day 1️⃣ of Oceanology International 2026.

If you’re attending, visit stand A409 where Martin, Carly, Adrian, and Alexander are running a live load monitoring competition. Participants will be applying tension to our Telemetry Tensile Link and seeing measurements captured instantly via the Telemetry Dongle, demonstrating accurate, real-time data capture.

The visitor who records the highest tension across the event will receive a bottle of Mermaid Rum!

Vulcan Sheave Instrumented by DLM for Oceanography Project

We recently worked alongside our sister company, Vulcan Offshore Ltd, on a project that saw them deliver an instrumented sheave to their customer carrying out operations in New Zealand. The unit incorporates a DLM Line Tension Load Pin and is supporting an application where a subsea sensor is being towed behind a vessel.

The sheave, supplied on hire by Vulcan, features a 750 mm diameter wheel and is being used to measure tension and payout on a towing umbilical. On site, data is fed into Vulcan’s Sheave Sense software, which displays live load and payout readings while also recording them as .CSV data logs.

Underpinned by the combined experience of both companies in engineering design, load monitoring and manufacturing, the collaboration enabled delivery of a complete solution to the point of use on the other side of the world, providing accurate, real-time load data during subsea sensor deployment.

Supporting Aquaculture Operations with Subsea Load Logging

We recently shipped four Subsea Data Logging Load Links to a customer conducting at-sea operational trials within the aquaculture sector, enabling them to assess equipment performance under real working conditions and make informed decisions based on measured load monitoring data.

Each unit features a self-powered internal data logger capable of recording up to 2 million load readings. Data can be quickly exported via USB as a downloadable CSV file, making large datasets straightforward to access and analyse.
