After their unforgettable Golden Buzzer moment, The Hawkstone Farmers Choir — 32 farmers from across the UK — are returning to the big stage for the Britain's Got Talent semi finals. Now they’re asking the nation to help them fly the flag for British farming and rural mental health.
From a Facebook ad in 2025 to singing in barns and tractors, over 500 farmers applied. The final 32 — dairy, arable, livestock and more — came together to perform Elbow’s One Day Like This, earning Amanda Holden’s Golden Buzzer and capturing hearts across the country.
But behind the sparkle is a mission: raising awareness and funds for mental health and su***de prevention in farming. The choir has become a lifeline — a place where isolation lifts and voices rise together. As spokesperson Katryna Shell says, “We aren’t doing it for us… we are doing it for every person out there who doesn’t feel okay.”
Chris, a farmer and choir member in Gloucestershire also commented “We’re singing from the bottom of our boots to the top of our heads.”
Rehearsals have taken place at FarmEd near Chipping Norton and Notley Tythe Barn in Buckinghamshire — farmers travelling from across the UK, leaving their farms in safe hands to make this dream happen.
