Following on from our first post, which saw an incredible response! 🤩

We’ve had a great time over the weekend reading through the comments and seeing people’s reactions, not just to the old photos but also to how much the business has grown over the years. It was especially nice to see messages from people whose relatives used to drive for us, along with fond memories of the early days. Because of that, we thought we’d share a few more from the archives today, you may recognise a few familiar faces!

It won’t always be old photos, but we do think it’s important for people to see where we’ve come from.

Since Ken and Maureen Fahey founded the business at Carne Cross near St. Austell almost 50 years ago, Faheys Concrete has grown from a small rented site into a business currently supplying concrete from four sites across Devon and Cornwall.

In addition to the concrete business, we supply asphalt along with an extensive range of aggregates from Carnsew Quarry, Penryn, and West of England Quarry, Porthoustock, trading as Faheys Quarries.

Today, three generations of the family still work within the business, and all take pride in continuing the business that Ken and Maureen started.
