100% grants for home energy efficiency measures are available in Scotland until March 2026. The government-backed ECO4 scheme provides almost unlimited funding for properties that are off the gas grid and have a lower energy rating (E-G).
The scheme is aimed at homeowners and private tenants who claim any of the following benefits:
1. Income-based Jobseekers Allowance (JSA)
2. Income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
3. Income Support (IS)
4. Pension Credit Guarantee Credit (PCGC)
5. Working Tax Credit (WTC)
6. Child Tax Credit (CTC),
7. Universal Credit (UC)
8. Housing Benefit
9. Pension Credit Savings Credit (PCSC)
If your property falls into the above categories, it may be eligible for a complete energy efficiency makeover.
Measures installed through the ECO scheme include:
1) Solar PV panels
2) Air-source heat pumps
3) Solid and cavity wall insulation
4) Loft insulation
5) Room in roof insulation
6) Heating controls
