October marks a record month of utilisation for Sea Axe, our controlled flow excavation technology.

With systems working across the North Sea, the Southern North Sea and Europe, our teams are delivering a broad range of scopes, from cable recovery to cable burial for renewable energy and telecoms projects.

This is a significant milestone for Jbs.

Demand is expected to stay high - and we are well placed to meet it.

That comes down to two things: the technology we design and build in-house, and the experienced people who run it offshore.

🚀 Big news at Jbs!

We're thrilled to add Peter Grant to our senior management team.

To support our continued global growth, we've split operational leadership across the business in two: Peter will lead People, Process, Blast Containment and Sea Axe, while Gordon Milne continues to lead Fabrication and Screw Conveyors.

It means each division now has dedicated senior oversight as we keep scaling internationally.

Peter brings 12 years' operational leadership experience from Strachans (Wrist Offshore North Sea) in Peterhead, plus two decades in other senior operational roles.

Jo McIntosh, Director at Jbs, said: "Peter stood out to us not only for his operational experience, but for his personal attributes. He's a genuine people person, and that will be invaluable as we build our team and culture for the next stage of growth."

Jbs was honoured to be represented at His Majesty The King's visit to Peterhead Port. Gillian McCafferty attended on our behalf and as a member of the Peterhead Energy Transition Forum.

This was a special moment for the town, and a chance to show the scale of the opportunity ahead on a very prominent stage.

The occasion highlighted what we know well: Peterhead brings real depth of experience to the future.

More than 50 years of supporting the North Sea have built a highly skilled workforce, an established supply chain, world-class marine infrastructure and a genuine culture of collaboration.

Those strengths are now being applied to the next generation of energy, with offshore wind leading the way and carbon capture and storage and hydrogen on the horizon.

As a Peterhead-based business that has delivered projects in more than 80 countries, Jbs is delighted to play its part.

Our controlled flow excavation, fabrication and engineering expertise is already active in renewables, and we share the Forum's ambition to ensure the transition creates lasting investment, jobs and prosperity for the local community and wider region.

This week, our team of specialist engineers Donny Allan (fabrication), Davie Sinclair (conveyor systems), and Ross McCafferty (electrical) travelled to Filyos, Turkey, to complete a detailed site survey ahead of the upcoming installation and commissioning phase.

The FPSO is currently a hive of activity, with multiple disciplines working collaboratively across the project.

Jbs has been involved from the earliest stages, providing end-to-end support from 3D concept modelling and engineering through to design calculations, manufacturing, and assembly.

The scope includes three single and three twin screw conveyors, skip frames, and a fully integrated automation package, delivering a robust and efficient material handling system tailored to the vessel's requirements.

We are proud to be part of this important development and look forward to sharing progress in the coming months.

𝗝𝗯𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗛𝗮𝗺𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗲

We’re off to Germany soon to showcase our renewables credentials at one of the world’s biggest industry events for onshore and offshore wind energy.

Directors Jo McIntosh and Mike McCafferty will be flying the Jbs flag at WindEnergy Hamburg 2026, which runs from September 22nd to 25th.

We’ll be part of the Scottish Enterprise contingent at the exhibition, which is expected to attract more than 40,000 visitors from 100 countries (not to mention our 1,600 fellow exhibitors) to a city regarded as Germany’s offshore wind capital.

It’s an exciting opportunity for us to market our key products and services to major players in the renewables world as we build plans to extend our geographical reach.

Around 70% of our new revenue already stems from overseas clients, with solutions such as our patented controlled flow excavation (CFE) system Sea Axe. It’s now a well-proven alternative in subsea cable and pipeline burial campaigns.

Equally, our fabrication work has also supported developments in the burgeoning global wind market.

That’s why we’re looking forward to welcoming visitors to our spot on the Scottish Pavilion, where we’re among the exhibitors showing how Scotland’s skills and resources are helping to accelerate the international energy transition.

𝗝𝗯𝘀 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗗𝗲𝗻𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸

Jbs are pleased to announce the award of a new contract to deliver cable deburial and reburial services at a 1080MW, 72-turbine, offshore wind farm in Danish waters.

Following the successful completion of a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) at our Peterhead headquarters last week, our Sea Axe Controlled Flow Excavation (CFE) equipment has been mobilised alongside our Ancillary Jetting System (AJS) in preparation for offshore operations.

Jbs team leaders are now onsite to undertake pre-operational activities and will be joined by colleagues prior to the vessel sailing to the worksite.

Leveraging our extensive CFE experience and proven technology, the team will safely expose the buried cable to facilitate planned works before reburial.

This project is ideally suited to the capabilities of our Sea Axe CFE system, further demonstrating its effectiveness in supporting complex subsea cable intervention and protection scopes within the offshore wind sector.

CFE work will be completed from two DP2 vessels: phase 1 using a cable-laying vessel, and phase 2 carried out from a trenching and offshore support vessel.

Now, following the completion of a new media gantry for Dunfermline Athletic Football Club, sport can be added to that list.

It was particularly pleasing to receive this feedback from the club:
