We’ve just finished installing a Sleipner Side-Power SE185/100 bow thruster, giving the owner effortless control when manoeuvring in tight marinas and challenging conditions.

To ensure the system performs reliably for years to come, we’re also installing:

Another great lithium upgrade completed on this Nicholson 40 ⚡️⚓️

This client already had a Victron Energy system installed onboard, but wanted to take things to the next level with increased capacity, smarter charging and better off-grid capability.

🔋 Upgraded from:
- 2 x 200Ah Victron Smart Lithium batteries
➡️ To:
- 2 x 300Ah Victron NG Lithium batteries
- Victron Lynx Smart BMS NG

To maximise charging performance from the engine, we also installed a Wakespeed alternator regulator supplied by Merlin Power, allowing full CAN communication and direct lithium charging via the high output Balmar alternator ⚙️

☀️ Additional upgrades included:
• Victron SmartSolar 100/30 MPPT
• Scanstrut solar socket
• Sherpa 300W foldable solar panel for charging while at anchor

📡 We also fitted a Starlink Mini system powered directly from the vessel’s battery bank, allowing for constant online monitoring of his electrical system via VRM and removing the need to run it through the inverter, improving overall efficiency onboard.

A bit of a different job for us that we completed recently ⚡☀️

We were called out to an off-grid farmhouse to diagnose a loss of solar power on a pre-installed Victron system. After fault finding and testing, the issue was traced back to an internal fault within the Victron MPPT RS 450/200 charger.

Thankfully, the unit was still under warranty and was replaced, getting the client’s off-grid system diagnosed and back up and running within 24 hours.

⚓ Project Complete on a 1982 Westerly Konsort in Galmpton!⚡
Another classic cruiser brought up to modern standards by the Spark Marine team.

🔵🔌We recently carried out a complete rewire of the 230V system, ensuring the boat’s shore-power setup is safe, reliable, and ready for future upgrades. We also installed a Victron Smart Charger — a major improvement, as the boat previously had no mains charging system at all 🔵🔌

🔋On the DC side, we fitted a new switch panel, carried out a full tidy-up of the wiring in the battery compartment, installed an ONWA chart plotter with built in AIS and added an additional battery to give the owners extra capacity and confidence while cruising🔋
