My husband Ross has over 25 years of experience as a skilled carpenter, and his dedication to quality, precision, and problem-solving truly sets him apart. He’s cre
ative, dependable, and always takes pride in finishing every project to the highest standard. Ross began his carpentry journey in 1998, straight out of college, working with a small builder on everything from extensions and new builds to industrial projects. After five years of hands-on learning, he stepped out on his own and spent many years subcontracting across the South of England. During this time, he built a solid reputation for his roofing expertise — from hand-cut and dormers to trussed and flat roofs — working on everything from family homes to multi-million-pound properties. In 2018, Ross co-founded Emsee Carpentry Ltd in Hampshire, where he and his business partner focused on high-quality carpentry for extensions, refurbishments, and new builds. They even managed full custom projects, like a stunning bespoke timber-framed bungalow, which remains one of Ross’s favourite builds to date. By 2022, they had expanded into full project management — overseeing complete refurbishments, managing multiple trades, and delivering everything from loft conversions and timber structures to full-scale new builds. After relocating to Port Talbot with our family, Ross decided it was time for a fresh start. While he was still working in London and surrounding areas when needed, I started on a new venture setting up R&S Carpentry Solutions Ltd
As Company Director, I handle all the admin, social media, Accounts etc, while Ross Our Master Carpenter and Manager focuses on what he does best: delivering exceptional carpentry and building work. We’re excited for this next chapter and look forward to working with clients across South Wales and beyond.
