Teamwork makes the Dream work
On Sunday 17th May, we were invited to join a major Volunteer Operation at Ballard Water Meadows in New Milton - together with the National Park Volunteers, NPA Youth Volunteers and Ballard Nature Reserve's own team of volunteers we all tackled the Hemlock Water Dropwort that's taking over the park, which is a very popular spot for locals. It's one of the most poisonous plants found in the UK, and although it looked pretty with it's white flowers out, it really is trying to take over the whole reserve. Luckily it was just before the heat wave, so we could keep ourselves covered up with long sleeves and gloves, as it can cause blisters and rashes. Thanks to the local volunteers we were generously plied with tea, cakes and sausage rolls, and had a very successful day.

We are truly humbled by the effort and support from everyone involved in the Sponsored Bike Ride by our volunteer Connor. He set out to raise £1000, but in the end gathered around him a team of 8 cyclists and smashed his target by raising £2000! Thank you Connor!!

Night-before-the-Ride-Update
Tomorrow Connor is taking on his 75km challenge for Flourish in Nature and it’s due to be a scorcher ☀️!! But the temperature is not the only thing going up! Sponsorship has EXCEEDED £2000! Huge thank you to everyone for showing your support of Connor and his goal to improve accessibility to the New Forest 🌳
