At Flynne Plant Training, we offer both CPCS and NPORS courses for operators looking to work safely and legally on UK construction sites.

CPCS (Construction Plant Competence Scheme) is the UK’s most widely recognised certification. It proves the holder has the skills, knowledge, and safety awareness to operate machinery such as excavators, telehandlers, rollers, dumpers, and more. CPCS cards include:
🔴 Red Card – after training and technical test, valid 2 years
🔵 Blue Card – after NVQ Level 2, valid 5 years

NPORS (National Plant Operators Registration Scheme) is a flexible alternative, recognised across the UK and suitable for smaller sites, in-house training, or specialist machinery. NPORS cards include:
🔴 Red Card – after theory and practical assessments, valid 2 years
🔵 Blue Card – after NVQ Level 2, valid 5 years
🟡 NPORS-CSCS Card – combines NPORS with CSCS compliance for sites that require it

Both routes provide hands-on training on modern machinery at our purpose-built Essex centre, just 10 minutes from the A127.

As CITB reports, more than 1,500 students will attend Construction and Engineering Week 2025 at the Lincolnshire Showground from Tuesday 23 September to Thursday 25 September.
