Plot twist: the customer joined the team! 💚

Working on our Cobalt contract we wanted to see if people in the community would be interested in a brand new career at Ecogee. WELCOME Lori!

Lori is a Cobalt Housing Association resident and Ecogee’s new Trainee Tenant Liaison Officer.

Now she’ll be helping other residents through their home improvement works, making sure they know what’s happening, who to speak to and what comes next.

Real stories. Real impact 💚

Over the past three years, Ecogee has partnered with Cobalt Housing Association to deliver solar panels, loft insulation and cavity wall insulation to hundreds of homes across the North West as part of a combined SHDF and planned works programme.

One of those households was Margaret and Arthur, who received a retrofit assessment to identify the most effective improvements for their home before solar panels were installed.

Good climates news! 🌞

Solar Team Eindhoven, a team of 23 Dutch students have developed what is being called the world's first solar-powered ambulance, called Stella Juva! 🚑

Stella Juva recently travelled more than 500 miles across Kenya, powered entirely by the sun, bringing healthcare equipment and treatments to communities in hard-to-reach areas.

The solar-powered ambulance carries medical equipment including an X-ray machine, an ultrasound, and a fridge to keep vaccines cool. It has solar panels on its rooftop so it can charge while driving, and extendable solar panels that can fold out when it’s not moving give it extra charging area 🙌

Even more impressively, when parked, its extendable solar panels generated enough energy to power all three at the same time, producing more electricity than it consumed.

How amazing! 💚
