A little corner… a BIG glow‑up! 💚

While working on homes with Cobalt Housing Association, Sue from the Bridge Community Centre pointed to an empty corner and said, “This would make an amazing storage cupboard…”

Say no more ✨

Ste (our joinery superstar) transformed that wasted space into a huge, purpose‑built cupboard the centre absolutely loves.

And Sue’s feedback says everything:

“Feeling blessed… we are so thankful. It's the little unexpected support that means so much and will make a huge difference to our centre. What a welcome change that wasted space is going to be. Just fab! Thank you from us all at Bridge Community Centre.”

📢 Warmer homes and lower bills with the Warm Homes: Social Housing Fund!

We’re working in partnership with Liverpool City Region Combined Authority and Sefton Council to help eligible households make their homes warmer and cheaper to run 🙌

The Warm Homes: Social Housing Fund is a government funded scheme helping households access free energy efficiency upgrades and low carbon heating.

💚 Who can apply?
To qualify for funding, households must meet one of the following:
- Properties with an EPC band D to G
- Owner occupiers or private rented tenants (Landlord Contribution Required after 1st property treated at 50%)
- Household annual income of £36,000 or below
- Living within an eligible postcode - we can check this for you!

🏡 What happens next?
If you qualify, our team will arrange a full home survey to confirm which upgrades can be installed.

But sometimes we also end up building cupboards! 💚

While working on homes with Cobalt Housing Association, Sue from Bridge Community Centre mentioned that an unused corner of the room was driving everyone mad and could really do with some storage.

So naturally, Ste got involved 😎

Fast forward a little while and that forgotten corner is now a purpose-built storage cupboard, giving the centre more space, less clutter and one less thing to worry about.

It's not solar panels.
It's not insulation.
But making life a little bit easier for local people is just as important.

Big shoutout to Tony in Lydiate, who recently had energy efficiency upgrades installed through Sefton Council’s Warm Homes Local Grant, delivered by our brilliant Ecogee team 🙌

We installed solar panels, loft insulation, cavity wall insulation, external wall insulation and new windows - retrofit measures designed to boost comfort, improve efficiency and cut bills.

Tony rated his overall satisfaction with Ecogee 5 stars, sharing some lovely feedback:

💬 “My home is noticeably cooler even on hot days like today. I can tell that the measures taken will keep heat in my home, a better carbon footprint and help with the cost of living as my bills have come down.”

An incredible achievement! 💚🪂

On Saturday, our colleagues Aimee, Adele and Justin from Ecogee took the leap and successfully completed their skydive in support of Centre 56. ✈️

It takes real courage to jump out of a plane, and not only did they tick an item off their bucket lists, but they also did it to raise vital funds and awareness for an amazing charity that supports vulnerable children and families.

We're incredibly proud of their dedication and willingness to take on such a challenge for a cause that makes a real difference in our community.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated, shared the fundraising campaign, or cheered the team on from the ground. Every contribution and message of support has helped make this achievement even more meaningful.

Congratulations Aimee, Adele and Justin on an unforgettable accomplishment! 👏💚

We're hiring an Apprentice Multi-skilled Technician! 🤝

As an Apprentice Multi-Skilled Technician you will carry out a range of property repairs, installations and maintenance tasks across multiple trades. This will involve shadowing and supporting senior operatives to gain hands on experience as well as attending college and completing all required apprenticeship coursework and assessments.

You will work alongside experienced colleagues, learning core trade skills, health & safety, quality standards, and customer service to progress toward becoming a fully qualified multi‑skilled operative.
