Happy Yorkshire Day! 💙💛

Today, we're celebrating everything that makes Yorkshire extraordinary: its people, its heritage, its landscapes... and the remarkable treasures that lie beneath our feet.

Deep below the North Yorkshire countryside sits one of the world's largest deposits of polyhalite. Born millions of years ago and discovered right here in Yorkshire, this remarkable mineral will help farmers around the world grow food more sustainably for generations to come.

At Woodsmith, we're incredibly proud that a mineral from the heart of Yorkshire will become POLY4, our natural, multi-nutrient fertiliser designed to support a growing global population while caring for the land that feeds us.

Geologists Peter Woods and Rick Smith explain how they played a pivotal role in bringing the value of polyhalite to life.

Here's to the next chapter as we continue bringing Woodsmith to the world.

We're looking forward to sharing the story of POLY4 and the Anglo American Woodsmith Project, and how this great Yorkshire project will help feed the world.

As well as this, our Soil Science Principal, Kathryn Bartlett, will be taking part in a panel discussion on:

Nitrogen Use Efficiency (hosted by Farmers Science Network)
Agri-Innovation Village at 11:00am on Tuesday.

With several days already sold out, it's shaping up to be a fantastic event.
