ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems UK is proud to have contributed to the successful completion of DPD’s new 60,000 sq ft facility on Hydehurst Lane in Crawley, strategically located near Gatwick Airport within the Manor Royal Industrial Estate. The project, constructed by TanRo and designed by PRC Architecture & Planning Ltd, marks another significant investment in DPD’s expanding logistics infrastructure, and we were pleased to support the development with a comprehensive package of industrial door and loading bay solutions.
For this site, ASSA ABLOY supplied and installed thirty Crawford OH1042P level‑access sectional doors with a structural width of 6150 mm, six of which include centrally mounted pass doors featuring low‑profile 30 mm thresholds, integrated pass‑door switches, and panic bars. All doors were provided with vertical‑lift track arrangements and configured for impulse up‑and‑down operation to meet DPD’s performance requirements.
The facility also features twelve fully equipped loading bays. These incorporate Crawford OH1042P dock doors with two rows of vision panels and a mix of high‑lift and vertical‑lift track arrangements, combined with ASSA ABLOY DL6220t telescopic‑lip dock levellers, wheel guides, external traffic lights, and dock buffers—delivering a complete loading solution designed to support efficient and safe goods movement.
As part of the overall industrial door package, we also supplied and installed five hinged steel doors, including three pedestrian driver doors, one double‑leaf fire‑exit door, and one single‑leaf fire‑exit door, completing a robust access system throughout the facility.
We are delighted to have partnered on this project and to support DPD UK in enhancing its operational capacity with reliable, high‑performance entrance solutions.
