Another full garden transformation completed by BY Design & Build 🏡✨
Our clients had recently moved into this property, and getting the garden sorted was right at the top of their list. The space had loads of potential, but years of being under-maintained had left the levels all over the place, with very little flat or genuinely usable space.
We completely reworked the garden, creating two level tiers separated with timber sleepers to make the most of the available space.
The lower tier now features a 50m² grey Indian sandstone patio, finished with a charcoal granite border and jointed using ProJoint Titan resin. We paired the paving with contrasting Black Ice decorative gravel, which really makes the colours in the sandstone stand out.
Between the two levels, we created a new planted area filled with evergreen, year-round plants and shrubs. These will continue to establish and fill out over time, adding plenty of colour and structure to the garden. 🌿
On the upper tier, we brought in fresh topsoil, completely re-levelled the area and laid new turf to create a proper usable lawn. We also incorporated a planter around the existing pear tree — giving it a much cleaner finish and making those fallen pears a lot easier to deal with! 🍐
The difference is huge. What was once an uneven and difficult-to-use garden is now a level, practical and great-looking outdoor space that our clients can enjoy properly.
Most importantly, the clients were over the moon with the finished result, and we couldn’t be happier with how this one turned out. 🙌
