The clocks have gone back and the nights are drawing in. Here's how we keep roadworks lit, visible and safe through winter.

When you drive past roadworks, you see the signs, the cones and the barriers. What you don't see are the decisions being made around them all day.

Our crews watch every passing vehicle and adjust the layout when the weather or the site changes. They deal calmly with drivers who ignore the signs. They make sure pedestrians, wheelchair users and people with pushchairs have a safe way past, and they clear a path quickly when an ambulance needs to get through.

Worcester City Run: done! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Over the weekend of 13th September our team looked after the road closures for the Worcester City Run with Events Of The North : 43 roads, 90 closure points and a full diversion route, using 1,200 cones, 250 pieces of barrier and more than 300 signs.

A huge thank you to our team, many of whom were up in the very early hours of the morning to ensure that everything was in place for the first runner, everyone worked really hard on the day. 👏

Thank you also to everyone in for your patience while the roads were closed, and congratulations to all the runners. We hope you enjoyed a safe course!
