🎉 ONE YEAR AT MDS… AND A VERY SPECIAL 1ST BIRTHDAY! 🐉❤️

This October marks one year since i joined the team when I was asked, “Fancy doing a bit of social media for MDS?”

After 22 years working in pharmacy, social media and industrial doors were completely new territory for me!

One of my first thoughts was… this company needs a mascot!

And just like that, our little red dragon Fred the Fire Starter was born. 🐉🔥 So, as well as celebrating my first year, it’s a very HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY TO FRED! 🎂🥳

What a year it’s been! I’ve had the chance to cover some amazing events, showcase our fantastic products, share new innovations, celebrate the people behind the scenes and, most importantly, have an absolute blast doing it.

I’ve quickly learnt that the real backbone of MDS is the team. ❤️ From the office and factory to design, production, service, installation and everyone in between — every single person plays their part and deserves a mention.

A huge thank you to MDS for taking a chance on someone who knew plenty about pharmacy… but not quite so much about roller shutters!

I’ve loved making the role my own, and I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity.

Here’s to one brilliant year, many more to come… and plenty more adventures with Fred! 🐉🔥❤️

OUT WITH THE OLD… IN WITH THE NEW!

A fantastic upgrade at King Edward’s School, one of Birmingham’s oldest schools.

Out goes the old timber sliding door and in comes a smart new tube motor roller shutter complete with OneGate personnel access.

A huge improvement in security, access and appearance — while bringing this historic site right up to date.

🔙 A LITTLE THROWBACK…

This Zip Speed Door was originally one of two we manufactured & installed back in April 2025.

Since then, they’ve been put to work on a site operating 24/7, with constant daily use.

Fast forward to today… and the customer has come straight back to MDS for door number THREE!

For us, that’s what repeat business is all about.

When a customer has lived with the product, seen it perform day in, day out, and then chooses MDS again for their next installation — that speaks volumes.

Another Fast Action Door incoming! 👏

A true autumnal shade 🍁

This shutter is finished in RAL 3004 – Purple Red

A rich, deep colour that makes a change from the usual industrial finishes — and we think it looks pretty smart!

Fancy something different for your next shutter? Ask our team about the range of colour finishes available.
