💨 More than just compressed air servicing — complete breathing air solutions from SWP.

Our engineer recently carried out a full service on an Atlas Copco XAS 88-7 portable compressor, ensuring the machine was operating exactly as it should.

Alongside the service, we also put together a dedicated RADEX Breathing Air Filter Unit, complete with a water spinner, ready for the customer’s application.

But supplying the equipment is only part of the job. ✅

Once everything was set up, we carried out a full breathing air quality test using our FACTAIR F6000, verifying the quality of the supplied breathing air and ensuring the system met the required standards for safe use.

Today’s job takes us into a seriously dusty plant room, carrying out a full service on a large Mikropor MKE 5850 refrigerant dryer.

Plant room conditions can be tough, but regular maintenance is even more important in environments like this. Keeping the dryer clean, serviced and operating efficiently helps maintain reliable air quality, reduce pressure drop and prevent unexpected downtime.

☀️ Keeping Compressors Cool in the Heat ☀️

We recently received a call from a new SWP customer who was experiencing issues with their compressed air system.

When our engineers arrived on site, it quickly became clear that the compressor had been left in a very poor condition by their previous service provider. The cooler was heavily contaminated and in desperate need of attention — something that becomes even more important during the hot weather we’re currently experiencing.

Compressors generate a significant amount of heat during normal operation, and when coolers become blocked with dust, dirt and debris, that heat has nowhere to go. Add high ambient temperatures into the mix and the compressor has to work even harder to keep itself cool.

The result? ⚠️

Keeping the equipment protected and giving ourselves a bit of relief from the sun while we get the job done. Sometimes you’ve just got to improvise with what you’ve got! 🛠️💪

No fancy setup needed — just a big sheet of board, a bit of creativity, and back to work. 😂

Not your everyday breakdown! ⛴️🔧

At 9pm last night, SWP received an unusual breakdown call from Wightlink Ferries. We were mobilised straight away and on site within the hour, ready to assess the problem and get to work.

With ferry operations relying on keeping things moving, a quick and effective response was essential. Our team got straight onto the fault and, within just one hour of arriving on site, had them back up and running. 💪

From receiving the initial call to getting the job completed, it was a great example of the fast response, experience and problem-solving our team can provide — even when the callout is a little different from the usual!

A brilliant effort from everyone involved and another unusual breakdown successfully dealt with. 🚛⛴️
