☀️ Lawn lovers, listen up! When summer cranks up the heat, your grass needs a little extra TLC to stay lush and green. Here’s what Ty, our Operations Manager heading up our hard working Grounds Maintenance team has to say:

🌱 Mow high – Raise your mower blades! Taller grass shades the soil, keeping roots cooler and retaining moisture.

🚿 Water smart – Early morning watering is best. Aim for 1 inch per week, and skip the shallow daily sprinkle.

We’re excited to launch our new Meet the Team series — giving you a glimpse into the people behind South Essex Property Services!

👋 First up is Lynsey Hurd, our Head of Business Development. Lynsey brings a wealth of experience, having spent 13 years at South Essex Homes before joining SEPS, 5 years ago. She now leads the charge on both existing and new business opportunities, helping us grow and thrive.

🌈 As part of our recent management training, Lynsey came out as a classic “Sunshine Yellow” personality — energetic, optimistic, and full of positivity!

🏃‍♀️ Outside of work, she’s all about staying active — and even took on the London marathon in 2022! (Photo purely for clickbait purposes😄)

Our new Ranger has arrived!

We’re thrilled to introduce the latest addition to our fleet – our new branded Ranger. The new vehicle has the engineering to ensure all Grounds Maintenance equipment is available at our sites to deliver the GM service.


As of the start of this month, the SEPS team provide the Grounds Maintenance service on behalf of South Essex Homes and Southend on Sea City Council .

The remit of this contract includes:
🍃 Grass cutting
✂ Hedge trimming
🌿 Weeding
🚮 Litter picking
