Friday saw the final floor lift on the three-storey, 56-home apartment block at our Builder’s Street development contract in Llandudno, delivered in partnership with ClwydAlyn.

Lifted into place using our onsite 300-ton mobile crane, this marks the final floor lift on the project and a significant milestone in its progression.

The wider development also provides a mix of 21 affordable houses with 2, 3, and 4 bedrooms, with the project itself providing a total of 77 high-quality, energy-efficient homes to support local housing needs.

K&C Construction is delighted to announce the commencement of a new project in partnership with ClwydAlyn: Cae Bothan, Holyhead 🏡

This exciting £13.2 million development will deliver 54 high-quality, energy-efficient, and affordable homes on the edge of the vibrant port town of Holyhead. We’re proud to be working alongside ClwydAlyn, Anglesey Council, and the Welsh Government (via the Social Housing Grant) to bring this vision to life.

This marks the third active project we’re proud to be delivering for ClwydAlyn at present — a testament to our strong, ongoing partnership.

The development includes:

• 20 x 1-bed apartments
• 10 x 2-bed houses
• 12 x 3-bed houses
• 6 x 4-bed houses
• 4 x 2-bed bungalows
• 2 x wheelchair-adapted bungalows

All homes are built to Lifetime Home standards, designed to adapt to residents’ changing needs and support independent living for years to come.

Statement Regarding Gas Main Incident Near Bodelwyddan

Good Afternoon, Everyone.

We are aware of reports regarding a ruptured gas main in Bodelwyddan near our Maes Y Llan development in partnership with Clwyd Alyn Housing Association, as covered in local media.

We wish to express our concern for all those affected and sincerely hope that everyone remains safe and that the matter is resolved swiftly.

We would like to clearly state that this incident has no connection whatsoever to our site, or to any parties associated with us, including K&C Construction, Pure Residential & Commercial, Clwyd Alyn or any contractors employed by ourselves.

The gas main rupture occurred on land at the farm located opposite our development and is entirely unrelated to our works, contractors, or operations.
We will continue to monitor the situation and are available to provide any further clarification if required.

Construction is progressing rapidly at Builder Street, Llandudno, with the installation of concrete planks on the first floor of the scheme’s apartment block which will provide 56 homes, using this 300 tonne crain.

This forms part of a larger partnership project with ClwydAlyn Housing Association, providing 77 high-quality, energy-efficient homes, including 56 one- and two-bedroom apartments and 21 houses ranging from two to four bedrooms.

The project is designed to meet and exceed current regulatory standards, incorporating features such as air source heat pumps and electric car charging facilities to promote sustainability and tackle fuel poverty.

Construction is expected to be completed by winter 2025, providing much-needed affordable housing for local families and individuals over 55 in an area with an identified shortfall.

K&C Construction & Clwyd Alyn visited Ysgol Tudno in Llandudno this morning to announce the winner of the “Naming of the Road” competition, as part of our Builder Street, Llandudno scheme, in partnership with Clwyd Alyn.

Congratulations to a Year 3 student, for choosing the name “Enfys”, meaning rainbow. 🌈 It’s a fantastic name that reflects the vibrant impact this scheme will have on the community.
