On Monday, we came together to celebrate a very special milestone at Darchem, with two colleagues reaching an incredible 50 years of service🌟

While one colleague has chosen to mark the occasion privately, we’re delighted to publicly celebrate Sue and her remarkable journey.

Sue joined Darchem in June 1976, aged just 16. What began as a junior role in Inspection became a lifelong career spanning five decades, countless friendships, and many memories along the way.

Sue says one of her proudest moments was walking through the Darchem doors on her very first day. Earning a wage meant she could help support the nana and grandad who had raised her, and from that moment, she never looked back.

Over the years, Sue has seen huge changes across the business, from typewriters and paper drawings to digital technology and modern manufacturing. Through it all, she has remained a familiar face in Inspection and a much-loved member of the Darchem family.

We’d also like to send our sincere thanks and congratulations to our other 50 year service recipient.

Together, they represent an extraordinary 100 years of dedication to Darchem👏🏼

For Mental Health Awareness Week, Darchem has focused on taking meaningful action by continuing to strengthen the support available across the business.

That has included refreshing our Mental Health First Aiders, training new ones, sharing practical wellbeing resources and continuing to promote the support already in place for employees.

For us, action means making support easy to access and part of everyday working life.

We’d also like to welcome our new Mental Health First Aiders below, and thank Richard Horsfield for delivering the Mental Health First Aider training 👏🏼
