3 years ago Tyler joined a team, unfortunately after 1 training session and 1 game they decided to fold the team, gutted I asked what I needed to do to take over just to keep the lads playing, 24 hours later im managing a City of Stoke team 🙃🙃.

Started with 4/5 players and rebuilt the team we struggled lost most weeks, losing 20-0 and watching the lads confidence take a hammering, we were told
'Your not good enough'
'You'll never win'
' Just fold, its not worth it'
'Why do you do it'
But to me it was worth it, these lads wanted to play

We lost players and coaches along the way but kept most of the originals and new players came in along with new coaches.

The players kept turning up to training and to games they stuck with us, so we worked, we set targets
-get the scores down ✔️
-start scoring ✔️

The team stuck together and the manager and coaches never gave up on them.
They managed a draw early this season and it ment the world.
But then this weekend that team won for the 1st time in the league. The players, the parents, the manager and coaches were over the moon.

The smiles on the players face after that win is the reason I didn't give up and walk away.

Today we visited a women’s refuge in Newcastle to deliver christmas present’s for the children and mums who are staying there over the festive period.

Every year the children write a letter to Santa and send it to us 😉 Santa and the Christmas Elves at Rayne make their letters become reality.

This is our 13th year supporting this amazing charity
