Every orangery we build passes the same construction check. Here is what that check looks like.

Solid brick and block construction, with insulated cavity walls. That is the same structural standard as the rest of your house wall, built to last.

A fully insulated flat roof overhead. This is what separates a room you use comfortably in January from one that turns cold by November.

And a roof lantern to draw natural light in from above, so the space reads as bright whichever direction the walls happen to face.
